Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

This section describes categories of information we collect. As we add, change, or remove features of the Service, these categories generally continue to apply — examples below are illustrative, not exhaustive.

1.1 Information you provide directly

• Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo.
• Event details, such as information about the Event(s) you're planning through the Service (e.g. dates, venues, budget, and preferences).
• Content you contribute, such as photos, videos, planning notes, checklists, seating or scheduling information, Event website content, and messages sent through the platform — through features available today or introduced later.
• Information about others you provide, such as names, contact information, dietary preferences, RSVP status, or seating/scheduling details for guests or collaborators you add. See Section 1.4.
• Vendor account information, if you register as a vendor, such as your business details, services offered, pricing, and information needed to receive payment.
• Payment information, processed by our third-party payment processor (e.g. Stripe); we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
• Communications, such as messages you send through in-app features or to our support team.
• Other information you choose to provide through any feature of the Service, whether available today or added in the future.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, crash logs.
• Location data: approximate location (e.g. city/region) when you search for vendors near you, if you grant permission.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used for login sessions, preferences, and analytics. See Section 7.

1.3 Information from third parties

• Vendors or organizers may add your contact information to an Event you're part of (see Section 1.4).
• Payment processors may share transaction confirmation data with us.
• If you sign in via a third-party service (e.g. Google), we receive basic profile information from that service.

1.4 Information about others you provide to us

Our Service is often used by one person (an organizer, host, or vendor) to coordinate with other people — guests, collaborators, or service providers — who have not created an account themselves. If you add someone else's contact information (name, phone number, email) to the Service:

• You represent that you have the right to share that information with us, that the person is 18 years of age or older, and that they would want to be invited to receive communications for the relevant Event.
• We use that contact information only to (a) send a one-time invitation identifying you, the Event, and the purpose of future messages, and (b) if that person confirms, to send them communications related solely to that Event.
• We do not use contact information you provide about others for marketing, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• The person you added can decline the invitation or opt out at any time (reply STOP to any text, or contact us at support@prasang.love), at which point we will stop messaging them for that Event.

1.5 Photos and videos

Event photos and videos frequently include images of people who are not Service users (guests, family members, vendors, minors). By uploading such content, you represent that you have appropriate permission to do so and to share it through the Service with the people you designate (e.g. other members of the Event party, or the host(s)).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service (accounts, guest lists, seating charts, RSVP tracking, choreography tools, Event websites, vendor search and booking, guest communication features).
• Send transactional communications: booking confirmations, schedule changes, RSVP reminders, day-of logistics updates, and account notifications.
• Send the one-time SMS invitation described in Section 1.4, and any confirmed follow-up messages.
• Process payments and facilitate transactions between users and vendors.
• Provide customer support.
• Improve and develop the Service, including through aggregated or de-identified analytics.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With other users as directed by you — e.g. sharing your guest list with a co-organizer, or sharing seating charts with a venue coordinator.
• With vendors you book — to facilitate the services you've requested.
• With service providers who perform functions on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, SMS/email delivery, AI providers used to interpret requests as described in Section 5, customer support tools, analytics), under contracts that restrict their use of your data to providing services to us.
• For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Prasang, our users, or others.
• In connection with a business transaction — such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

4. SMS / Text Messaging

If you or someone else provides a mobile number to receive text messages through the Service:

• Message frequency varies depending on your Event's activity.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting support@prasang.love.
• Reply HELP for assistance.
• Your mobile number and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
• No mobile opt-in data is shared with third parties for the purpose of their own marketing or promotional messaging.

5. Automated and AI-Assisted Processing

Certain features use automated systems, including third-party AI providers, to help operate the Service. For example, when you reply to a scheduling message (such as confirming a hair & makeup appointment), we may use an AI system to interpret your reply and route your request within the Service.

• What's sent, and to whom: the content of your reply is processed by our third-party AI provider(s) solely to interpret and route that specific request. These providers act as our service providers and are contractually restricted from using your information for their own purposes, such as training their models on it.
• What this doesn't do: AI is used to interpret what you're asking for in a reply — it does not freely compose the message sent back to you. The reply you receive is assembled by the system from a controlled set of message templates, populated with verified information (such as your actual confirmed appointment time).
• Accuracy: automated interpretation of free-text replies is not perfect. Where a request affects something important (e.g. an appointment time), we will generally confirm the interpreted request back to you before treating it as final.
• Your control: you can always reach a human by contacting support@prasang.love if an automated interpretation seems wrong.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and correction: you can review and update your account information in-app, or contact us at privacy@prasang.love.
• Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting privacy@prasang.love, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Communication preferences: you can opt out of SMS (reply STOP) or marketing emails (unsubscribe link) at any time. You cannot opt out of essential transactional/account messages while your account remains active, except by closing your account.
• State privacy rights (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others): depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain data sharing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@prasang.love. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Event-related data (guest lists, photos, messages) is generally retained until you delete it or close your account, after which it is deleted or de-identified within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

We do not offer accounts to anyone under 18, and we do not send SMS or other direct communications to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Events often include minors who are never directly contacted through the Service — for example, a child's name appearing on a guest list or seating chart. Any such information is provided and controlled by the adult who added it.

If we become aware — whether from the contact themselves, a parent or guardian, or otherwise — that someone under 18 has received communications through the Service, we will promptly stop sending them further messages and delete their contact information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information was added to the Service without your permission, contact us at privacy@prasang.love and we will remove it.

11. International Users

The Service is currently intended for use within the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect new or changed features of the Service. The general categories of information described in Section 1 are intended to apply to future features as well as current ones, so introducing a new feature does not by itself require a new policy. However, if we make a material change — such as using information for a materially different purpose than described here, or beginning to collect a new category of sensitive information (e.g. precise geolocation, health, or biometric data) — we will update this Policy and, where required by law, provide additional notice (such as email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect.
